The Delhi university medical-dental entrance test (DUMET)-2011 for admission to under-graduate courses (MBBS/BDS) will be held on Sunday, 22nd May, 2011 at Delhi only. 

 Last Date: 07th March, 2011
Interested candidates may apply on the prescribed application form

The application form along with bulletin of information is obtainable from the office of the deputy registrar, faculty of medical sciences, 7th Floor, VP Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007, against a bank draft/banker’s cheque drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of registrar, university of Delhi payable at Delhi, in the following manner

Sale of bulletin of information w.e.f.: 24th January, 2011

By hand for Rs 750/- (Rs seven hundred fifty only) for general/OBC category candidates and Rs 550/- (Rs five hundred fifty only) for SC/ST/PH category candidates between 09.30 a.m. to 03.00 p.m. on all working days from 24th January, 2011 to 07th March, 2011

No cash payment will be accepted

By post for Rs 800/- (Rs eight hundred only) for general/OBC category candidates and Rs 600/- (Rs six hundred only) for SC/ST/PH category candidates, along with a self addressed envelop of 12x10 up to 11th February, 2011

SC/ST/PH candidates are requested to bring/send a copy of the caste certificate/PH certificate for obtaining bulletin of information

The application form along with brochure of information can also be obtained by hand only from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and University College of Medical Sciences



Educational qualification for admission to MBBS/BDS course: The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular classes and situated within the national capital territory of Delhi

The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English separately and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 45% marks in case of OBC category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

The candidates must have studied 11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the national capital territory of Delhi

Female candidates belonging to SC/ST/children, widows and wives of armed and para military personnel (CWWAPP category) killed or disabled in action in wars 1947-48 onwards and wards of Ex-servicemen personnel and serving personnel of the Defence/Armed Forces and all Police Forces who are in receipt of gallantry awards, who have passed qualifying examination from Indian boards/universities or foreign boards/universities may also apply for admission to Lady Hardinge Medical College only and have to come for Counseling

They would be offered admission to LHMC only on the basis of their merit in the DUMET-2011

The condition of studying 11th and 12th class from a school situated within the national capital territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates

The Physically Handicapped candidates having disability of lower limbs from 50% to 70% are eligible and may apply as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India

In the event of all the seats reserved for PH category not being filled up from among the Physically Handicapped candidates with the above stipulated physical disability then the seats will be offered to the candidates within the physically disability of 40% to 50%

Applications Form may also be downloaded from our websites www.fmsc.ac.in and submit the same, duly filled in and complete in all respects with requisite demand draft, to the office of the deputy registrar, faculty of medical sciences, 6th Floor, VP Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 on or before 07th March, 2011 up to 03.00 p.m.

The last date for receipt of request for supply of the application form alongwith BOI by post is: 11th February, 2011

The candidate should mention his/her name, address and telephone number at the back of the bank draft/banker’s cheque. The candidates are advised to retain a photocopy of the bank draft/banker’s Cheque

Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected
